Unique? (POEM)

I always wanted to be unique

I didn't like to be the same

I wanted to be something more

Not just a face with a name

Though I like to live my life different
I loved to live my life fun
I loved to be with my friends
And be accepted by everyone

But i soon figured out
No one thought I was unique
They judged me by me actions and looks
And just thought I was a freak

I've been stared at and glanced at
Not invited to parties and the mall
I've been ignored and abandoned
And I've been laughed at in the halls

People are cruel and uncaring
To just leave me here. Ditched
They have all broken my heart
And it can't be restitched

I always wanted to be different
But I never wanted to be nothing

I always wanted to stand out
But I never wanted to stand alone
